Risk RiskWorking Groups

In the context of global environmental change, extreme weather events, related disasters, and sudden risks are becoming increasingly significant. They represent a major potential threat to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are among the most pressing challenges to human well-being in the future.

The Risk Working Group provides an open platform for the scientific community—spanning interdisciplinary fields and engineering disciplines—engaged in research on extreme events, disaster risk reduction, and governance, enabling the exchange of information, knowledge, and data, as well as participation in collaborative research activities.
