NSTC as Thematic Program Office (TPO)
The Thematic Program Office (TPO) oversees the development and management of CRAs. Its responsibilities include coordinating with international funding agencies, establishing the Group of Program Coordinators (GPC), organizing proposal review processes, coordinating funding arrangements, and monitoring project progress through midterm and final reviews.
NSTC has served as the TPO for DR3 2019, SSCP 2022, and Pathways 2, and since 2023 has jointly served with France's ANR/FERPA as Co-TPO for Resilience 2025. BFPO has also hosted sessions at SRI2023–2025 to promote international exchange and collaboration on sustainability challenges.
 SRI2025: SSCP Mid-Term Meeting convened; Resilience CRA Launch Session co-organized
 SRI2024: SSCP Progress Workshop convened; DR3 End-Term Meeting convened; Resilience CRA Scoping Workshop co-organized.

Belmont Forum CRAs Taiwan Spring Meeting
To foster transdisciplinary dialogue within Taiwan’s sustainability research community, BFPO organized the Belmont Forum CRAs Taiwan Spring Meeting annually from 2023 to 2025. The meetings brought together representatives from NSTC, CRA research teams, GPC members, and researchers interested in Belmont Forum initiatives.
Each meeting highlighted a different focus: scientific outcomes sharing (2023), international collaboration models and challenges (2024), and strategies for building and sustaining international research consortia (2025). The 2025 meeting also featured World Café–style discussions to explore approaches for strengthening international collaboration and expanding research impact.

Info Sessions Supporting Taiwan’s Participation in CRAs
From 2023 to 2026, BFPO organized a series of info sessions, workshops, and expert meetings to support Taiwanese researchers in participating in Belmont Forum CRAs, including EPB, CEH 2, DUT, Pathways 2, Ocean 2, ALP and Resilience.
These activities included proposal briefings, expert discussions, and regional scoping workshops. They facilitated transdisciplinary exchange, strengthened connections with international research initiatives, and provided pathways for Taiwanese researchers to engage in global collaborative research addressing sustainability challenges

International Outreach
To promote the Belmont Forum and highlight Taiwan’s participation in CRAs, BFPO participated in the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting (AGU) from 2022 to 2025. The exhibitions introduced Taiwan’s contributions to Belmont Forum initiatives and facilitated exchanges with international researchers and organizations.
The AGU25 exhibition, themed “Taiwan as a Global Hub for Sustainability Science,” showcased collaboration among NSTC, the Center for Sustainability Science (CSS) at Academia Sinica, and BFPO, while highlighting connections with global networks incleding Future Earth Taipei, Future Earth Taipei Hub and IRDR ICoE–Taipei. BFPO will continue participating in AGU to strengthen international academic exchange and expand opportunities for global collaboration.
