Background
In 2021, the Center for Sustainability Science at Academia Sinica established Global Secretariat Hub (GSH) Taipei, aligning with the overarching mission, objectives, and values of Future Earth aiming to bolster the organization's global initiatives.
Understanding Future Earth and its Network
Future Earth recognizes that different regions face unique challenges. To address these, it collaborates extensively with global secretariat hubs, local networks, and international research communities to drive targeted sustainability solutions at both regional and global scales. Additionally, Future Earth fosters its Early Career Network through transdisciplinary research training workshops and engages with 19 national and local networks across all continents, along with 25 global research networks to advance sustainability research and practices.
These collaborations tackle a wide range of issues, including biodiversity, economics, health, urban studies, marine science, risk management, and the water-food-energy nexus. To learn more about Future Earth, please refer to its Annual Reports.
