What an inspiring four days!
Researchers, international reviewers, representatives from Future Earth Risk KAN, government agencies, NGOs, and community partners from the UK, Germany, USA, Japan, and Taiwan came together to explore how disaster risk reduction and resilience research can be translated into meaningful societal impact, policy development, and real-world action.
📍 Day 1 – Sharing research outcomes, societal impacts, and valorization pathways.
📍 Day 2 – Cross-project integration, Future Earth perspectives, interactive discussions, and research exchange at National Cheng Kung University.
📍 Day 3 – Field visits to post-earthquake and post-typhoon recovery sites, learning from local communities, NGOs, and government partners.
📍 Day 4 – Exploring humanitarian innovation, disaster preparedness, and cross-sector collaboration at the Tzu Chi Kaohsiung Branch.
