With the growing challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss, plants and agricultural sciences are playing an increasingly vital role in building a sustainable future. This forum will explore how these fields contribute to strengthening ecological networks and supporting Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs), helping to protect ecosystem functions and boost the resilience of our landscapes.
We’re excited to welcome botanists from Japan, New Zealand, India, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, along with government researchers and practitioners from Taiwan, who will share practical insights and real-world experiences in ecological governance.
