How can we understand and manage urban air pollution in countries with limited monitoring infrastructure? In this talk, Dr. Jennieveive Babaan will share her innovative research using #geospatial tools—including GIS, modeling, and AI—to estimate air pollutant levels such as PM₁₀ and NO₂ in Philippine cities.
By integrating data on land use, traffic density, and weather patterns, Dr. Babaan reveals when and where pollution peaks—such as in high-traffic urban areas during nighttime. Her work not only provides a clearer picture of air quality across cities but also supports smarter planning and policy to protect #PublicHealth and improve urban living.
