Caring for Nature is Caring for Society: Reconsidering Human–Nature Coexistence in a “Semiconductor City”
當我們想到新竹，往往先想到科學園區、半導體與高科技產業。但在「半導體城市」的另一面，人與自然之間也存在著許多細緻而多樣的共生關係。
本次短講將從都市政治生態學（urban political ecology）及「照護」(care)的視角出發，思考：在高度科技化的城市中，人與自然如何共存？而照顧自然，又如何同時成為一種照顧社會的倫理實踐？
透過新竹的民族誌田野研究，討論 「照護計畫」(care plans) 的概念，帶我們重新思考科技、自然與社會之間的關係。
When we think of Hsinchu, semiconductors and high-tech industries often come first. Yet beyond the science park, diverse forms of human–nature coexistence are also taking place.
Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork, this webinar brings together urban political ecology and "care" to ask how humans and nature coexist in a high-tech city;and how caring for nature may also become an ethical practice of caring for society.
